The footage, captured outside Guthrie’s Tucson home, shows a masked individual moving calmly through the property — and authorities are now examining every visible detail.
While the suspect’s face is largely concealed, both federal investigators and independent online analysts have worked to enhance the imagery. Some internet sleuths have used reverse infrared techniques in an attempt to reveal hidden facial features. The enhanced stills appear to suggest the outline of eyebrows, possible facial hair, and even what may be part of a mustache beneath the mask.
Law enforcement officials caution that infrared footage can distort colors and contrast. A jacket that appears gray on camera could, in reality, be black, red, or another shade entirely. Forensic video specialists say infrared technology can invert tones, complicating assumptions about clothing color.
Still, physical clues are emerging.
Using the brickwork at the home’s entrance as a reference point, analysts estimate the suspect stands between 5 feet 9 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and could weigh up to 230 pounds. His shoes appear large — possibly a size 12 — based on tile proportions seen in the footage.
The clothing itself is also under scrutiny. The ski mask appears to feature distinctive stitching patterns around the eyes and mouth. Similar masks are widely available at retail stores for modest prices. The holster worn by the suspect appears to be a simple nylon design, commonly sold at sporting goods stores. Firearms experts reviewing the footage suggest the weapon resembles a 9mm handgun, possibly a Glock-style model, though officials have not publicly confirmed that assessment.
The gloves worn by the masked individual have drawn particular attention. They appear to be made of nitrile, a synthetic rubber commonly used in automotive work, plumbing, and other industrial settings due to its resistance to oil and chemicals. These gloves are inexpensive and widely accessible.
Another focal point is the backpack. Online observers have speculated that it resembles an Ozark Trail brand model, citing reflective strips and strap placement. However, investigators have not publicly confirmed the brand.
Perhaps most intriguing is the suspect’s demeanor.
Experts note that the individual moves with confidence and without visible urgency. Behavioral analysts suggest that such calmness could indicate familiarity with the property — either through prior visits or detailed knowledge of the layout, including camera placement. Authorities are also examining the suspect’s gait, as modern identification technology can analyze walking patterns as a biometric marker, similar in strength to facial recognition.
In one frame of the footage, lights appear behind the suspect, prompting speculation that a vehicle may have been nearby. Investigators have not confirmed whether a getaway driver may have been involved, but they are actively canvassing the neighborhood for additional video evidence.
FBI agents and local law enforcement remain deployed across Tucson, conducting door-to-door inquiries and reviewing thousands of tips. With no suspect in custody, the surveillance footage remains one of the most critical pieces of evidence in the case.
