Winner of Netflix Reality Show Outlast Charged in Serious Criminal Case in Tennessee

A former winner of the Netflix survival series Outlast is now facing serious criminal charges in Tennessee, according to multiple reports. Authorities say the case involves allegations related to a minor.
Paul Preece Jr., 51, of Seymour, faces charges including rape of a child, aggravated sexual battery and attempted rape of a child, according to Knox County court records cited by WVLT, WATE and WBIR.
Preece was arrested by Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies on March 6 and is being held in the Knox County Jail on a $150,000 bond, per the outlets.
Preece appeared on the inaugural season of the Netflix survival competition series, which debuted in 2023 and featured 16 contestants competing in teams to survive in the Alaskan wilderness for a $1 million prize.
He ultimately won the season alongside fellow contestants Nick Radner and Seth Lueker, splitting the $1 million grand prize.
