Woman Who Allegedly Shot at Rihanna’s Home with AR-15-Style Rifle ID’d by Police, Booked on Suspicion of Attempted Murder

Authorities in Beverly Hills have identified a woman in connection with a disturbing incident involving the home of global music star Rihanna. Investigators say the suspect allegedly fired multiple rounds toward the property using a rifle-style firearm.
Ivanna Ortiz, 35, was arrested following the Sunday, March 8 incident, and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson tells PEOPLE.
Her bail has been set at $10.225 million.
On Sunday, at about 1:15 p.m., officers responded to a call about “shots fired” at the pop star’s home, according to the spokesperson.
Ortiz allegedly parked her car outside the sprawling home and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.
A police source involved in the investigation tells PEOPLE Ortiz used an “AR-15 type rifle” and the impacts “were mainly on the exterior gates and walls.”
Ortiz was taken into custody after police located her car at the Sherman Oaks Galleria Shopping Center, about eight miles from the home, CBS News reported.
A weapon was recovered, the LAPD spokesperson said, adding that no injuries were reported.
Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive.
According to the spokesperson, it remains an active LAPD Robbery Homicide Division (RHD) investigation.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Rihanna, 38, lives at the home with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children, sons RZA, 3½, Riot, 2½, and 6-month-old daughter Rocki.
The family was home when the shots were fired, PEOPLE previously reported, citing the source.
Reps for Rihanna did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for further information or comment.
