The team, which is co-owned by Reynolds, ultimately lost the game and was eliminated from the Football Association Challenge Cup
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds recently delighted fans with a warm public appearance at a Wrexham soccer match in Wales. The couple was spotted enjoying the game together while cheering from the stands.
Lively, 38, and Reynolds, 49, were seen cozying up and packing on the PDA during the Football Association Challenge Cup (FA Cup) match between Wrexham — which is co-owned by the Deadpool actor — and Chelsea in Wales on Saturday, March 7.
During one sweet moment, the pair could be seen sharing a kiss as they wrapped their arms around each other. Reynolds sported a gray sweatshirt with jeans, while Lively wore a denim jacket with matching bottoms and a striped shirt.
The couple appeared to focus intently on the field throughout the game, which saw Wrexham take an early lead before ultimately being defeated by Chelsea with a final score of 4-2. Due to their loss, Wrexham was eliminated from the FA Cup.
At one point, the Gossip Girl alum could be seen wrapping her arms around her husband. During the intimate moment, she appeared to rest her head on his shoulder as they both looked on at the game.
Following the match, Lively shared a smiling photo of herself and Reynolds on the empty field. “What. A. Game,” she wrote on the Instagram Stories post.
Reynolds and Lively’s latest public outing came four months after the actress shared a pre-Thanksgiving date night selfie of the pair in New York City on Nov. 26.
“Puttin’ my night out hair to good use,” Lively wrote across the snapshot, adding, “I spy the Empire Hotel [if you know, you know].” (The Empire Hotel was prominently featured in Gossip Girl.)
Lively has rarely made public appearances in the past few months amid her ongoing legal battle with her It Ends with Us costar and director Justin Baldoni.
Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, which he denies. The trial for that lawsuit is scheduled for May 2026 in New York. Baldoni’s countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion, has since been dismissed by the judge.
Lively and Reynolds first met in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern. They began dating the following year and tied the knot in September 2012. The couple share four children: daughters James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6, and son Olin, 3.
The Another Simple Favor star previously opened up about the pair’s relationship and support for each other amid their various endeavors — including Reynolds with Wrexham and Lively with her haircare line, Blake Brown — on WWD’s The Beauty of Tomorrow podcast in January.
“We talk shop all the time. We really are partners in everything just because we’re best friends,” the actress said at the time. “We talk shop about, like, if I make the coffee I’m like, ‘What did you like about that? What were the details?’ We’re very curious people.”
“We become sort of possessed by something that we’re building or creating, something that inspires us,” she continued. “And that could be something very mundane or it can be our work. Our family is something we are eternally trying to figure out how to do better.”
